13 Toxic Foods Destroying Your Gut
Unfortunately, there are many harmful ingredients which are widely used in everyday foods and restaurants, wreaking havoc on our gut health and making us weak and sick. Taking control of our health starts with knowing which foods are toxic to our bodies and reducing/avoiding them in our diet.

8. Soy Another one of the commonly grown GMO crops alongside corn. Also high in phytoestrogen and anti-nutrients. Certain fermented soy products such as natto or tempeh are fine in moderation.
9. Commercial Dairy: Commercial milk typically comes from A1 cows that are pumped with hormones, antibiotics and have loss many nutrients from the pasteurization process. Raw milk, A2 cow milk, goat milk, sheep milk, buffalo milk, etc are fine.

12. Anti-Nutrient Foods Nuts, legumes and seeds contain phytic acid, lectins and tannins which are anti-nutrients that can bind to important minerals and prevent them from being absorbed. Soaking/sprouting these foods then discarding the water breaks down the anti-nutrients which makes these foods easier to digest and have more mineral bioavailability.
13. Fruits & Vegetables with Pesticide/Herbicide Residue You wouldn’t season your food with some salt, pepper and then intentionally season on some extra pesticide/herbicide would you? Of course not. So don’t buy produce that’s been pre-seasoned with these chemicals. Opt for organic and pesticide-free by shopping direct at farmers markets (confirm with them that the produce is pesticide-free) or find grocery stores and supermarkets that stock organic, chemical-free fruits and veggies.
